The Points System
Percentile to Points: 7th Grade Tests

Using national percentile for reading and mathematics scores we multiply each score by 1.515. For example;
Reading 80 x 1.515 = 121.2
Math 85 x 1.515 = 128.8

This yields a total of 250 points out of 300.

Points are calculated for a student's reading, math, science and social studies.
For each A = 75 points, each B = 50 points, and each C = points 25.
For example, 2 A's and 2 B's would equal 250 points out of a possible 300.
Two points are deducted from 100 points for each day the student is absent from class. For 18 or more absences there is a full 100 point deduction.

Percentile to Points: 8th Grade Examination

Using the combined national percentile score for the entrance examination we multiply the aggregate score by 3.03. For example;
The average score of Reading 80, Math 85, and Verbal 90 is 85. This extrapolates to the composition equation 85 X 3.03 = 251.5
This yields a total of 252 points out of 300.
